Weather looks good Cairns Qld, who's heading out fishing?

The weather looks good out from Cairns for the next few days, also seen plenty of boats heading out for an over nighter. I've got the boat all sorted ready to head out before day light in the morning to spend a day on the water. I can't wait as I found a nice spot last trip and hoping to hook up to some reasonable fish, don't think I'll get much sleep tonight now and it's going to drive the wife crazy, lol.

Nah nannygai and red emperor hopefully, but I'll be happy with coral trout and spangled emperor. Last time we were out we caught a few long nose emperor as well as the odd shark. If there's any bird and bait activity on the way out we might get a mackerel. The oldies went out from Lucinda today and scored some mackerel.

I think Coral Trout is the best fish in the ocean. It cost a fortune in a restaurant even in a fish and chip shop, but the taste is worth it.
