what a great post! thanks for the share. To be honest, I could walk past the end of the dinosaurs meteorite and think 'fxxk me - thats a big rock'. I am hopeless on this stuff. Gold - yes, these no.
 
I assume they would be easy to spot against the Saharan background, you just have to cover the ground - bit like WA salt flats and Antarctica, ie dogs balls. Nice one
 
Did you spec them or use a detector ?, I think I,ve seen this sort of stuff before specking for agates.

More than a year and a bit later,....... I'm still waiting too @ :rolleyes:
 
Hey Shelton have your meteories been confirmed by meteorite experts? To me the first two are iron concretions, the third banded iron, fourth rock?, fifth foliated rock, sixth iron concretion, seventh rock?, and last iron concretion or banded iron if the same rock as three. Its really hard to tell in photos but none of them show melting or fusion crust and appear to show crystalline and other earth bound features.
