Ring a Ding Dong the hunting went wrong ,.. what I thought shoulda been Silver(I was hoping for gold) turned cold and ugly on me.

And to make matters worse it's ill fitting to boot !

I've been out of action for a while (crook back) but a quick flick through your finds and I can feel the detector bug biting again.

Personally AJ, I find (even favouring my spine a bit) when my back has had a few recovery days (after those nasty pangs of pain) if I go detecting I forget any pain as I get caught up in the hunting and find I feel better for it by the time I'm finished than I was before I started.
But like I said, that's just me personally, and anyone sick and sore should consult a medical professional before exercising passively like that, especially if they think or feel it may not be good for their particular physical ailments, and particularly if they have any fractures.

I enjoy your adventures. Looks like a tough spot to get to for a swing. I suspect a bit of a walk through the coastal scrub was required. The penny is close to a magic 1930.

Did get out today for a hunt with old mate, he found the first coin of the day, but I found the only PDs for the day ,... I'll see if I can get a few pickys up a bit later on.

Detecting in the rain can be a nice change of pace I recon.
Actually thought I'd pain out a bit today with the way my calves were feeling before I even started, but, funnily enough, I never felt a thing all day, did look at the shade and long couch grass though and imagined myself cuttung ZZs for a while in it, but naaah, too many targets still in the ground for that ! :lol:
Dodged most of the rain today, was a lucky boy.

3 degrees tonight, and a clear but frosty morning tomorrow down here. Should be a perfect day for an all day detecting session before the rain decides to kick in again.

I might give Sunday morning a go for a few hours of detectorcise.
regardless of the weather.

I'll send the rain over your way when we have finished with it! Seriously, it's been pretty damned wet over the last few weeks, tie that together with single digit temps and it's pretty hard to leave the ol scratcher with any haste.
