Interesting little cutter ship you have there Silver.
Just wondering why / who made it and to which ARGO gaffer cutter rig it was referred to.
Taking a punt i`d choose the 3rd one down Link below.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argo_(ship)

She disappeared in 1814 off the coast of Tasmania after having been "run away with" by convicts.

Todays hunt results...
First signal dug tongue
1615727929_screenshot_2021-03-14-22-54-06.jpg
second one was a 1950 thrippy (no dig photo)
And second sweep past nearby (couple of metres)
1615728084_screenshot_2021-03-14-22-54-17.jpg
the hunt (blurry)
1615728180_screenshot_2021-03-14-22-54-27.jpg
the good ones (worthy)
1615728231_screenshot_2021-03-14-22-54-37.jpg
the burnt thing is penny size
1615728304_screenshot_2021-03-14-22-54-48.jpg
other side of it
1615728348_screenshot_2021-03-14-22-55-11.jpg
cleaned the silvers by spraying metho at them to wash the dirt away
1615728429_screenshot_2021-03-14-22-55-25.jpg
Old valve stem cover
1615728509_screenshot_2021-03-14-23-02-56.jpg1615728539_screenshot_2021-03-14-23-00-16.jpg1615728568_screenshot_2021-03-14-23-01-04.jpg
I had all the silvers by around 10 minutes in and had thought " I should just finish up and go home" .... tough slog and 2 hours later.... looked like I was right.
Should listen to that inner voice..... after all... I parked right next to the silver at one of my favorite spots (should'a done under the car too yikes )

Small hunt
1617677050_screenshot_2021-04-06-12-39-34.jpg

1943 Thrippy
1617677092_screenshot_2021-04-06-12-39-50.jpg

Toasty 1954 Shilling
1617677157_screenshot_2021-04-06-12-40-03.jpg

Went back again to a spot that had given me silvers, and a mate or two a few as well..... dug the deeper scratchy signals, found more leadheads outlining the building.
And had a lovely local lady come and show me some old photo's of the two original buildings taken from her house about 60 years ago along with a complete rundown on the structures crafting and use. big_smile next time I go back I will dig all deep signals (not a great deal of signals left in the hot spot now) tongue

that button... could be a word on the right side.
1618642641_screenshot_2021-04-17-16-52-25.jpg

It's got a crown with a Maltese Cross
1618642746_screenshot_2021-04-17-16-52-41.jpg

I've found a button before with a canon.... but this has 3 of them
1618642834_screenshot_2021-04-17-16-52-34.jpg

But.... were all here for the silver right big_smile
1951 thrippy
1618642925_screenshot_2021-04-17-16-51-39.jpg

And... a 1935 92.5% silver thrippy
(ain't she a beaut) drooling
