Out for a quick hunt this morning and found $13.10 to spend, and a couple of half pennies 1943 & 1950.
I also found a ring with stones. Thought I'd put some photos up.
This is the lot, less the junk and scrap metal.

Here are a few shots of the ring. I know the CZ stands for Cubic Zirconia.

Not sure about the other details though ?

Am very happy, would have missed it except that scanning in pinpoint mode it sounded like a nice solid target, that's the only reason I chose to dig it.

You got to try the gold field - although the ground may be a bit harsh on the 250, but if you pulling all that stuff on the beach  you may get lucky smile

With the sensitivity down to about 30% it does alright in the wet sand, you just have to trust it a bit
(targets fewer and further between).
I drop it onto the sand and hold the pinpoint button in, when I lift it slightly off of the sand it hunts silently in pinpoint, mind you I'm normaly wearing steelcap boots, that way I can quickly check the detector against them to be assured of the distance its working at !

Nice ring find with the Ace, like you mention, without checking it in pinpoint mode, it could just come up as another dubious signal.  Did the Ace ping it on both swings in disc mode, or did you hear on just one sweep of the detector?

Neither, I had gold discriminated out, so there was no ACE250 tech analizing, it just sounded like something I should dig(like the old days) while speed scaning. Mind you, I can recall looking at the screen and seeing the signal bouncing around the mid range.

Now I must say, the glory of these finds has to be shared between all three detectors, but I must say that the ACE250 is the majority holder by far.
This is over a several year period.
This is just purely for inspiration.
3 back ones are tungsten/or stainless steel type rings, the front one dents like gold, but all the markings are worn away.1394454240_sam_1166.jpg

Went for a drive in the bush, and came up with this 1946 Florin(cleaned up).
1398555345_sam_1926.jpg
1398555511_sam_1927.jpg
fairly worn and common as leaves, but still enough to make you smile and touch your pocket to make sure it's still there.
And this thin little Silver Ring.

The finds sure add up after a while, it's nice to pull everything every now and again just to remind you of what lies in your kitty.  I've probably collected about 3 ounces of silver for the year so far, most other stuff has been junk jewellery aside from one gold ring and one titanium ring. smile

Went out first thing this morning to a local park. The wire cable didn't give a signal. ?? The cable, triangle piece and bolt are all above ground finds. I went over a mentos lolly paper in a swing and it gave a signial. I went no way, i picked it up and guess what I five cent under it. Lucky it's bad enough with bottle tops.

Found my first ring tongue but it was a junkie ring sad 1401004858_20140525_164331.jpg

Bit of a go slow, about 3 hrs work, not much, but time flys when your enjoying a day out.
The juice box gave a good sound, no smiles here and not even a box.

Happy with another per decimal. smile

Nice finds guys.

Went out today to a promising site.

I hate promising sites. Had 2 found nothing on both.

Todays site was littered with bits of aluminium and
You could hear the iron in the ground with the G2.

Went out hunting at a good silvers spot I know with my daughter(7) and my old mate and his son(18), we all got a silver each.
Daughter got her first ever coin
91942D threepence after asking if she could use the ACE250, found the signal herself, just needed a bit of help with the retrieval in the rock hard ground.
