A complete newbie & was hoping someone could let me know what size this is and if it can be cut?

Approx5x5x5mm

It's small but it's the biggest I got :8

Cheers!

The stone would be about 2ct in the rough and looks to be good colour. It has enough depth to not lose too much if cut in the "brilliant cut". Should produce a stone of just over the carat mark. Certainly a very cuttable sapphire. ;)

Cheers Wal

Thank you Wal, I'm stoked at that. Will put it aside till it has a few friends :D

Cheers!

Nice stone, that's what it's all about. Love the stones from Black Springs, usually small but very clear with great colour.

Depends Headsup where you can sell it. Retail in New York maybe $1000 a ct, in Australia anywhere between $100 and $500. Also depends on a few other factors like the 4 C's but yes they are worth a bit. I'd say a few hundred, I'm still a beginner though. Very satisfying when you get a couple of nice ones.

An Aussie company and American company to compare in the links.
