There have been finds worth Hundreds of thousands just by going through old Mullock Heaps..... That's why 'Black Lighting' is a viable option to actually mining Opal...

Just look on Opal Hunters the way things are done and its quite easy to miss a good find.... One mob on the show is doing it quite successfully.... They are just one of quite a few doing it...

Going back through the old heaps... And look how many heaps there are... :D

@20X... I find a far better view if I tilt the computer screen and view from the bottom up... Wow... Blues, Greens and a few Reds in that piece... ;)

Nice dig mate :perfect:
Cheers mate, it's amazing how hard sedementry ground can be, the odd layer here and there I have to put full body weight on the hammer to split it off.
Just coming onto the good ground type at the bottom, red and grey.
8 cubes dug, 12 cubes shoveled @ 50% expansion.

I am watching this with interest, would make a nice well when finished. Do you have to fill this in when done?
No backfill required, just a decent iron lid over the hole.
