When I fish I target flatbread with soft plastics(one in particular) is lethal.
Some of my best lizards are from around boat ramps.
So many people spend thousands on boats to get far away without realising the guts of their catch(old timers mullock) is right next to the boat ramp.
How does this translate to gold?
Everyone goes far from gold towns think8ng around the town is flogged.
Plenty of flathead surround gold towns....

Yeh ! i`d agree with that Big Lizards hang around boat ramps for shore.
Some of the Bigger Lizards also hang out where it`s fairly quiet from Humans.
Youtube showed a vid where they believe some of the best Gold Deposits were in fact still sitting under built homes as that is where the initial diggers camps were developed.

Bingo mate bingo!
Irony...i use the 3 inch drop shot power minnow,
Covered in gold flecks!

More irony..
They all line up as the tide drops in a place where all the tributary's feed to a a wider more flat and flowing area to feed off the drainage...

Are we Talking Gold or Flathead ?
I guess fresh fried Lizard is like Gold to me.
Yeh ! Just Love Pan Fried Fresh Fish. :Y: :Y:

Best flathead lure ever...........took hundreds of lizards out of Wallis Lake over a few years with these....actually had them taken on the surface as they hit the water from a cast........in only a couple of feet of water in the shallow channels between the leases:

Years ago i`d just set a line over night with a piece of mullet.
Near every time there was a decent Flatty on it.
Heeps of fishy stories to tell no worries about that. :Y:
These Days not so many. :N:

Might paint the bottom of the tinnie to school'em up  Depth of water is the key to bagging a cricket bat :Y: nothing more than 1200 should yield a good feed. I love fishing and the thrill of the catch but can't stand the taste of pretty much anything seafood.

Best entertainment for zero outlay

Here's a bloke who got himself in all sorts of trouble at Torquay in Victoria. After parking his car he went to get his boat in the foreground only problem was the next wave dislodged his anchor and he ended up chasing his boat out with the waves  I watched this unfold for about an hour, the tractor ended up pulling out his car and boat  :|

Not having a good day :argh:
This was at Hawks Nest boat ramp.
And to make it a worse situation it was in the boss's ute
Imagine how that went explaining that Monday morning
Apart from sitting in the salt water for about an hour
The electrical system had a meltdown
Right off I reckon
Don't think the boss would have been insured for stupidity

Seen it happen a few times over the years your not alone there.
Usually when they bring the boat out of the water onto the ramp to drain the bungs & put the tail light panel back on.
Wet brakes on a steep incline can do that.
Bugga. Ego compromised hey. 8.(

Yeah I can't remember but i think it was how it went
Not a good way to end a good day out boating
Boat ramps can be a very entertaining place sometimes :8

Slippery when wet they say and in some cases with the slimy hair weed build up the brakes do not work. :poop:
Neither does the traction. :(
`but` most likely Banjo68 will be covered by insurance as that is what insurance is about mistakes , mishaps & acts of God.
