Hi All

Is there a law in NSW that prevents the collecting of beach stones such as agates, jasper, petrified wood etc. I've tried to look online but have had no luck. I've been reading online that you can get fined for removing. Is this correct. The beaches I'm looking at aren't in National Parks.

Probably need to check individual areas out locally with Council/s, land managers etc.
Should mostly be ok outside of NPWS/Marine Park areas but some land may be Crown Lands reserved for environmental & heritage protection. These & other managed areas could have restrictions on the taking of any materials.
