Gold nuggets at the mount

Hey all I'm new to this site looking for gold nuggets in mount Morgan Queensland (4714) I'm a local and have heard some pretty impressive stories. Happy to walk through the bush for days on end and wouldn't mind company as I don't really like snakes bahaha thanks all :Y: :goldnugget: * have some old detector that works relatively well just need to master it.

Welcome to the forum L4N, what type of detector have you got? I'm sure there would be members in your area that may be able to help you.

I have just read Mt. Morgan , Gold , Copper & Oil by John Kerr . Interesting book , worth a read . It does mention other areas close to Mt. Morgan were gold and copper were found . You need to do a fair bit of research . I used to get copies of old Parish maps from the lands dept . Old gold leases and claims were often marked on them .
