I have a few recent finds, how do I upload photos?

When you have 10 posts here you can start posting photos
At the bottom of the page, where a blank window appears for your post, there should then be an icon ( 6th from the left) representing images.
Tick on that, and this should direct you to your own saved images etc.
There is a size limit on uploads.
Tick the photo/s you wish to upload. Then tick on "insert images " once your directed back to the upload page

I'm going to have to visit Spec Savers I reckon. Is it just me or are all the photos out of focus?
Cheers

Not a single focussed shot in the lot - what a waste of time!
Where it is, there it is.

Ease up guys! Not hanging the photos in an art gallery!
Perhaps if you had half an idea you could identify them????

Yep, my half idea is that they are rocks, can you help with the other half please.

Nope - they look like some sort of geological materials (minerals, rocks) but any identification beyond that would need photos at least nearly in focus

Everyone has it wrong. After a few brews and grape juice, those pics are perfectly clear and in focus to me. I just do not know what they are.

Focussed or not, that dark sparkly stuff isn't going to be gold or silver ore - it's just pyrites, IMHO.

Are you saying that the out of focus effect is something to do with how you load, and not something you can see on your camera or phone before you upload?

Have another go Rynofish. As I asked, do your photos look in focus to you before you post? There are plenty of people willing to give advice on your samples if the photos are clear, it is just that they are remarkably out of focus almost without exception. Any attempt to comment on what they are would be meaningless, other than to say that some of them look like they could be interesting. Keep trying.

I was thinking more things like molybdenite, stibnite, lepidolite - which shows how impossible it is without clear photos.

Maybe silver ore.
Where did you find it?
From all of these photo's you can see how easy it is to get an ID wrong from a pic alone.

Even with an in focus pic it is still going to be difficult to give a 100% positive ID.
Looks like a lot of rocks inc arseno pyrite

Here ya go Ryno.... don't take it all to heart mate.
It all starts with a cup'pa
The how to of clearer photos.
this next one is jus a zoom screenshot of the photo above
In fact they are all screenshots (for me only screenshots load in right way up).
The cup method for holding your phone definitely makes for a clearer photo.... wipe your camera lense clean beforehand too.
Happy clicking
