Just found our first blue sapphire as it weighs in at 1.1 carat about 7mm diameter.

I dont know a lot about them but can anyone advise if it is facettable or should we just keep looking?.

Any thoughts...

You're in the right spot Alison - Keep looking, and at the same time, have your sapphire looked at

Yep around 0.25ct finished, not as bad as the tiny Peridot I just cut, but not cueing up for another titch :( :) One's enough ;)
