I feel very embarrassed asking this i clicked the SDC handle into place and when i went to fold it up i cant get the handle to unlock is there a trick I'am just bot getting appreciate any help its the updated version if it makes a difference

Just need to give it a decent shove, I had the same prob when I first used mine. You don't need to be too gentle with it, they are a very tough and well made unit.
Give it a good thump with the heel of your hand, as per the Instruction Manual:
