small stones

hi ladies and gents, i have some small rocks - stones that iv'e had for years, they came from my mothers side of the family, im not sure what they are. any help would be awesome as i can't find anything that looks like these. i know that there was a mine in cue WA that was in the family way back but have no clue if they are from that. i am just interested to know what i have. it has gold color and some purple blueish color in them. i don't think its gold and looks different to pyrite but i could be wrong lol. thanks in advance.

I don't know what you have there - doesn't look quite right....

I agree GR.... My guess is Peacock Ore or another name is Chalcopyrite...... and the white ones looks like Quartz...

Peacock ore is actually bornite, which takes an irridescent tarnish.

Maybe some crystal clear individual shots numpty.... of your extra pretty ones.

Do the old phone hanging out over the coffe cup trick.... you can just shift it around on the table until the incident light is working well for you.... you can try with phone light on and off to see which works best and you can use a timer for the photo so there is absolutely no movement at all.... and you can zoom as well.
