I have the $11.99 per state Trilobite app "Australian Geology Travel Maps"
and it shows mines, geology, google overlays, works offline.
I'm impressed, but it's the first dedicated gold app that I've tried, there may be others.
I know you can DIY with free downloaded maps etc, but hey, life is too short.

if you tear the pages out of an old Country Atlas/Road Maps book they about fit on a 10" tablet
