I wanted to buy a QED

Hey guys so I found a QED PL2 for $1300

I had a choice of the gp3000 or this. I kinda went with the minelab option

Did u make the right choice? Just want some un biased opinions from QED users

As to how both machines pair up in the field

From having a chance recently to run a PL2 myself, and owning a GP Extreme (basically a GP 3000) I can say personally speaking, i think you made the correct choice, others may disagree, which is fair enough given i only ran it for about 14 hours total.

Maybe its just because i like the simplicity of the GPs.

Curious as to what more experienced users think.

I'd say the qed might have the edge when tuning towards small gold but the reality is learning the machine and where to look is far more important that if one machine is 10% better than the other.
Give whichever is the lesser machine to an experienced user and her will find more gold if you're inexperienced anyway.

So basically don't stress, both will do the job well.
