Got out for a scout around a few potential sites this morning
Was a lot hotter out there than i was expecting , had to throw in the towel around lunch time
Found the usual suspects , coins , ring pulls bits of lead etc ... nothing to exciting ...
But this piece is enough to get me back there this arvo

Last weekend i visited a local property
Unfortunately the grass is too thick and scrubby to get close enough to the ground (for now )
I did turn up a nice 1853 sixpence and a penny , which i gave to the land owner
I also found the body of an old brass padlock (much more modern)
After a bit of time in the tumbler it came up a pretty good , so i made up a shackle from a chain link
This too will go to the land owner.

Corner of pocket or bottom of washing machine maybe.
Lost one myself once on the way to the car... still look for it everynow and again when in the area lol...... was probably someone elses wonderful surface find (and not even a detectorist I'll bet )
