Thanks Nightjar for posting this.
I have no experience with Dyneema cord/rope but I can see all manner of termination/join possibilities with this material.
Many a wet day in camp I have sat, sipping port and splicing old ropes together, end eyes and back splices......The crown knot (when I was a young bloke) was known as the "electricians knot" .......show me an electrician these days who might know what one is. :(

Used to while the hours away my self Michael, enjoyed splicing and make Monkey Fists. You know a tennis ball is a great base.

Talking of monkey fists, that is how they used too and maybe still do catch monkeys.
Carve out a hole in the trunk of a tree the size of a monkeys hand then deposit nuts or other monkey delicacies in the hole. A monkey puts his hand in the hole and grabs the food, hand making a fist. The monkey can't withdraw his hand with clenched fist and won't let go of his prize so he is trapped there until the hunter returns. True story!

And your know also known as the Underwriters knot.
