It sounds like you need A LOT of good cutters! Best of luck finding them.

There are a few great cutters on the forum who might be interested in some work, if they're not busy with their own stones.

Cheers,
Megsy

Glen Innes Yarrow creek Dwyer property sapphires zircons and topaz from 1993 to 1996 stones if you know the area you know these stones are rare and wanted for there colours I need 200 stones cut if done well I got over 5000 more

Got that many stones from over 30 years of fossiking glen innes area that large wooden chest is hard to pick up these stones where found in New England area mostly glen innes sapphires zircons and topaz from the original Dwyers property

Most of the stones look small, thinking around the 1-3ct range? You're going to need a small stone specialist for this type of work, someone who can do a stone in a couple of hours or less, do you have a market for the cut stones?

Just wanting them cut those are the half ct to 3 cut stones the 4 to 8ct stones will hold off on till I see how these turn out cut no market but I had them looked at many years ago and was told Yarrow creek New England nsw stones are worth more fror there colours looking for a good cutter

A 3ct will end up somewhere around 1/2-1ct once cut depending on the shape of the rough, 1/2ct is really not worth cutting as you end up with a grain, also consider what you are going to pay a top cutter, depending on who it is, one 3ct stone could cost between $50-70 to cut for a simple commercial cut, a precision cut will cost more.

Maybe you could find someone to help grade your rough stones so that the larger more valuable stones can get cut locally by a precision cutter. The rest could then be done overseas at a cost that is more affordable per stone.
Ive chosen to get my stones cut locally for quality cutting and because I can trust who is doing it but Im not dealing with 5000+ stones. That will be a substantial outlay even for Thai cut stones.

That's good advice, a lot of the smaller stones are really not worth getting cut locally, especially the zircons, I'd probably get any zircons over 5 or 6 carats cut locally and any good shaped very clear sapphs over 3-4ct cut locally but the rest would probably be cost prohibitive to be done here.

A nice 1ct faceted zircon is probably only worth 10-40 dollars.

Well I had 3 cut 15 years ago the green sapphire 1.2 ct sold for 68 dollars the yellow zircon 1.4 ct sold for 42 dollars and the blood red 2.5 ct cut stone was valued at 125 dollars before I dropped it and put a fracter straight though the middle of it so still have that one there glen innes sapphires zircons and topaz from Yarrow creek amazing colours

Goldinbrisbane you could also try try posting some individual good photos of your pick stones detailing the type, size and weight to give the cutters on the forum a better idea of what you have to work with. If you have some interesting stones you might find someone keen to cut them.
Also as was suggested to me, you could try your local lapidary club. You might find someone close by.

Sorry GoldinBrisbane I stopped mid post to put the young fella to bed. I can vouch for Dihusky. I have some lovely stones cut by him. Check some of the other topics on cut stones to see examples.

10 dollars a ct lol sorry do you honestly know your stones Heatho sorry been valued more then that Australian glen innes Yarrow creek do your research Heatho as that's very bad information you gave on some of the most wanted colours in Australian NEW ENGLAND glen innes gems from the Dwyers property between 1993 to 1995 before closed its doors to fossiking
