Hi all,

While I'm playing about with the old Aldi machine to get the feel of things(bodged the broken handle back together), I'm still researching what modern unit to buy and I came across something unfamiliar to me as a neophyte, the Gold AKS TR/LR Detector from Israel.

With the right video editing one can make almost anything look good, but I was wondering why no detecting forum I have so far visited even mention them or anything like them.

Are they something new?

Are they total shyte?

Are they a scam?

I have hunted for reviews but unfortunately they have all either been in a foreign language, or more infuriating, just some guy wandering around with the unit waving and swinging and not saying a word to describe WTF he's doing.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

I would imagine if they were as good as their makers tout them, you guys would be using them.

Several things that made me think it may be a wooden nickel, they claim it detects diamonds, they claim it can detect down to 70m (that would be a big hole in the beach) and at a range of up to 5km lol

Even I know that sounds like BS.

I'd wash my hands very carefully after touching that thing--they are crap/scam.

Thanks guys.

Yeah, that's what I thought. If something sounds too good to be true, it almost always is.

I did further reading of their site, gave me a couple of giggles.

They are asking $2500 for them and naturally the Chinese are knocking them off for less than $200.

I can't help but wonder what you might call a counterfeit copy of a scam device lol

Matt, the 'giggling goose' uses one and has made some really laughable videos on it. He also promotes a certain large concentric coil. He refers to it as 'radar'. Hilarious.

With a range of 5k's, surely the device couldn't be wrong. You just then have to narrow down that nugget with your Garret Pinpointer. lol

Looking at the warning diagram on their site(above) explains why I had so much trouble with my old Aldi, I was wearing leather boots and I was irritable:playful:

Looks the goods to me

a closer examination of the handle though

reveals an interesting reflexion

one that can be resolved by intensive computing power
1566350518_screenshot_2019-08-21-10-25-36.jpg
to reveal the true character of the inventive genius behind this expensive to all.... wonderous unit
....almost there... just a little tweak or too and...

..... yes.... we have it !
And there ya go.... need I say more yikes

The tonic water containing Quinine is reported to help with sleepless leg syndrome. My roaming hand problem makes me wake up with a black eye!!!!

At least the manufacturer of those 2 ghz Antenna's is going well. LOL
6 of them per machine. lol

Put it this way, Phasing all of that together would take some extreme
engineering.

Parks Radio Dish, Move Over. awful

A couple of HiBankers inc. accessories, , QED, 4500, SDC2300, Gt1600,
Aldi, A Prado 4x4, A'Van Cruiseliner and a heck of a lot of determination.
