Remember when this was best way to get true value for your item !

The stooges stops this option , so many items have been offered on Gumtree & Facebook we missed out on .

Lets get it back , will need support please.
Most would be willing to pay a 2% fee on the sale price to this site after Auction ended .

What do think , give a :Y: if you wish to get some good deals again .

I'm 100% not keen on the idea, it was a total PITA. If you want to sell something on here then list it for the price you want, doesn't stop someone putting in an offer if they think that the price is not right.

I'm with Heatho why not just use what we already have and say your open to any reasonable offers :Y: for anything with a reserve just let it be known.

I am also against it. Caused too many issues last time. This is a forum for sharing information and mateship. There are plenty of other venues set up specifically to buy and sell items.

What about a sale by set date situation ,
Put in your best offer by this date, but the offers are not visible - just via P.M.....

Probably a heck of a lot easier to admin.

Why not list items the same way as on OCAU? Seller sets a reserve price that they are willing to sell at and is a point at which any bidding can start and a closing date/time at which point the highest bid wins. Seller could also set an "instant" price which, if met, trumps any bids and buys the item immediately. All seems to work quite well over there so should work here as well.

If you want auctions, Ebays your go, if you want to deal with dreamers and scammers, try Gumtree, to deal with like-minded people at a fair price, this forums classifieds seem to be the go. Just my thoughts.
