A couple of years ago a few of us SDC users took Mbasko's lead and purchased Avantree Bluetooth units so we were no longer tethered to the machine . The low latency units were probably the best detector accessory I have purchased along with my Jack Lange under chin summer headphones . The units come in a pair and each one can be changed to TX or RX . I am wanting a new pair of over ear headphones for winter and was looking at something like Gray Ghosts but there seems to be plenty of wireless headphones of quality for sale now. My question is , has anybody used one of the Avantree units as TX from machine straight to a Bluetooth headphone and not needing to use the second Avantree unit or would paring or latency be a problem ?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

I used one of the Saturn Pro units in tx to a set of these http://www.avantree.com/category-bl...ow-latency-headphones-audition-pro-13161.html but only for a short time testing them out on the QED. The QED didn't play well with the Saturn Pro's so I ended up selling them but they did otherwise work well.
Any Bluetooth wireless headphones should work ok but for best results some that support APTX low latency would be best to get the full benefit of the Saturn Pro units.
Avantree are releasing some low latency ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) headphones in around June http://www.avantree.com/category-bl...ll-hd-anc-headphones-detachable-boom-mic.html if you can wait. From the specs it appears they would be compatible but to be sure (if interested) contact their customer support - they are pretty good in answering any questions.

Cheers Matt , glad I asked the question . I will definitely wait and get a pair of the noise cancelling APTX supported ones next month . As you say , it reads that they will go very well with the Saturn Pro tx unit , great price also .
