Hi everyone, I started this journey when I was about 11-12 yrs old collecting rocks. I stopped for a couple of years which turned into 40 yrs, although I kept hauling these boxes of rocks around where ever I went. Last year I thought I should finally do something about these rocks so I joined a lapidary club. My interest has been rekindled and i'm enjoying it immensely. Camping trips have now become fossicking trips much to my families dismay, but hey, it's a great pastime and keeps the grandkids amused by digging holes and looking for rocks
