Got yourself some nice silvers there, especially when dipping into Victorian era silvers. Correct on the lead decoration, a saddlery rosette. big_smile

Haha unbelievably accusations! Don’t know what you’re taking about mate!

Went of for hunt #67 today.. just a casual 1/2 swing at the local park... scored a few bits..

Got a few Viking swords, no biggie:

1561006627_b85063a1-6d4c-4a7c-bf54-435b382e1315.jpg

Also scored some coins:

1561006659_5ffec964-07c6-4558-ba32-1e5b0f4290e8.jpg

And last target of the day, was abit iffy... but I dug an entire Viking longship:

Not my best day out, but it was fun nevertheless big_smile wink

Actually went out for hunt #67 today, just went to a new spot locally.

Found it on google maps, old trees in straight lines either side of the reserve made me think it used to be an old house site or something, I’m not sure if they’re native trees or not.

1561194504_f04bce95-2b75-487c-977e-c31e1bc1a1e1.jpg

It was starting to look like a bust, lists of spent 303 casings, few 303 projectiles, 4-5 broadhead arrow heads and a bunch of fishing sinkers... but I kept at it

Scored this beauty:

1561194432_e239dece-7f17-45ad-b635-6c473af319f0.jpg

1561194451_c2976210-9523-4955-92eb-555d36dc3cac.jpg

That’s a bucket list find for me, I’ve found half of one before but really happy to get a nice full one!

Other than that I scored my first ever NZ coin... 20c lol

1561194632_c06c7fcb-a41e-40d2-8207-acdbd7fa26fe.jpg

And a few more BBs to add to the pile, no pre decs today, but that’s the game big_smile

Cheers!

Nice setup you have there, won't be long before you'll need a second one (or lots of plastic compartment containers for excess gear). big_smile

Short night hunt for hunt #68, only got 1.5 hours in before I had to head back home.

Pretty low on finds in that time... 20c, about 6-7 BBs and the usual scraps

Did score this nice thrip though:

Saw this and it made me stop dead in my tracks:

Got out to 2 permissions today with pretty meagre returns for hunt #69

Permission 1:

1561903147_ebd2e80f-6b42-4329-a275-d1d96ae18155.jpg

Not much at all left of the ruin, only a few rows of stonework left!

Pretty minimal finds there, scored a thimble but the landowner wanted to keep it, which is fine that’s the game! I forgot to take a photo first though ops

I did manage this button from that site though:

1561903285_f55f8b5f-51bb-4e68-a0f7-9321ee5ee7a8.jpg

1800s’ish button

Onto site two, a much more complete ruin:

1561903342_fc18f1bd-0b6d-4373-be17-85b9f6588ad0.jpg

Again very slim pickings, however I did manage to snag this florin:

1561903406_46a5a630-8781-4f4c-be55-51821c0088c7.jpg

The gold toning on the florin almost gave me a heart attack, it looked very gold comming out of the ground drooling
For a split second I was very confused at what I had, looked like a massive gold coin, obviously much bigger than a sovereign, thought maybe I was into some actual treasure lol

Pretty average day, the florin definitely saved the day though

Cheers!

Moses Levy & Co specialised in Navy clothing. I think that's an old sailor's button there. Nice find!

Checking in, and updating for hunt #70 & #71!

Hunt #70 was at a nice ruin:

1563622146_9e7d4171-7743-4ba7-b5bd-555a79ea0320.jpg

Me and my buddy got nothing but button after button, 30 between us! Here’s my share of the loot:

1563622188_0152b0ef-364a-4d4b-8707-59d4a8f09171.jpg

Hunt #71 today was at a few locations, here’s the round up for the entire day:

1563622250_692fe34d-e270-459a-b08b-c2e2ae333d37.jpg

Couple of close ups of the goods, including this nice Manuel and Gardner Button made in port Adelaide - can’t find info on it but I’m guessing Victorian era!

1563622325_bfecf374-1b15-4652-884e-b67b77a66fdd.jpg

Scored this nice $8 coin spill!

1563622359_f54e9632-4983-49e3-aa39-9035260e1d33.jpg

And the goods for today:

Got out today for hunt #72

Went down to a fairly popular tourist beach here in SA but unfortunately didn’t come up with anything other than a few spendables!

Here’s the lot:

All the pre decs came from a nearby park including this little beauty

Think you just register online for warranty. Bought mine from a minelab dealer so not required.

That park looks like it could have a bit more promise with the older silver and brit copper. Beaches really can be hit and miss, need some exposed rocks for the heavies or some decent erosion.

How did the Adelaide coast go after that last lot of bad weather?
