Finding gold with Minelab CTX3030

Is a Minelab CTX3030 sufficient to find some gold, or would you say that if one is serious about gold detecting that this detector - however good it is - has no place in it?

Not good for RAW gold in Australia...

Never used a CTX but have read on detectorprospector forum about a bloke in Queensland who does chase raw gold with his.
He sets certain programs up for it and has provided those programs here https://www.detectorprospector.com/files/category/1-detector-programs/

I can only imagine that it will not handle the mineralized ground anywhere near as good as a PI but if this is what you already have then its worth a try.
