Advice on a ring that I found

Hi all

I found a ring..

It has 5 sparkling Stone in it..

It has a hall mark saying Silver 925

Looks very worn and the band is thin ,

Was thinking maybe a old wedding ring or is it just junk??

925 is sterling silver Goody, so no, not junk. Stones may be zircon, not valuable but sparkly and pretty.
Nice find.

Looking at the setting I would have thought wedding band. But I have no idea really.

More importantly though, what the heck is the ring sitting on??

It's better than junk :Y: would be nice to know what the stones are, definitely looks like an older style wedding band :gemstone:

Top of antique film canister - check.

Pink thing shoved in plastic tube - ????

It's a junker....... look at it, almost black.... no gaps behind the stones... 925 could be faked lol
doesn't look like 925

I think I will have it looked at...

It says Silver 925

It looks very old..

Diamonds were set in silver sometimes in the past. Take it to a jeweller and ask.

It looks like a Quick Unpick to me Northeast. A sewing implement to unpick stitches.

OK just got back from Coffs harbour...

The jeweller told me it is Silver 925 ...

They don't no what the stones are..

They are sending it off to find out for me,

Have it back in a about a week time,

The lady told me the ring would clean up and look good again..that's if I want her to clean it up,

But I will wait and see what the stones are first,

So it will be interesting to see what it ends up being...
