We all were 'new' once so it will come with time....... Where are you Located Squint ?. PM me if you don't want to announce it......

Sometimes Field Trip locations have a limit due to various factors like, How many they can fit in a section of Creek, Farmers Conditions of Entry or number of 'Guides' available.... I personally don't like the pre-book method, as lots miss out, but sometimes you need to limit the numbers... You don't want say 2 'Guides' looking after 100 fossickers... That could soon become Dangerous...

I'm from the Newcastle area LW. It's a bit of a hike to get there but I think that I'll still make the trip. You never know i may meet some people to tag along with. I understand the need for limited numbers too.

Keep in contact as some I know are only going on 1 trip and then they are heading out 'elsewhere'...
I really need to go this year But we may be moving house around that time.... Another reason I NEED to go is that We are doing Safety checks on the new locations for Gemorama this year and that would be good for you to 'tag' along...

I have sent you a PM....

:gemstone: For those that are booked into trips for Minerama, There is now a 'Disclaimer' on the Website about possible trip Cancelations or Change of Venues due to the Drought conditions and lack of Water.... :|

Dont think they got a single drop out of that cyclone system that threatened SEQ.

There could be a bit of dry sieving going on - might need to get some of those elastic/canvas boot protectors that stop the gravel reaching your socks.

No they didn't and we didn't either and we are on the Gold Coast.... Some trips wont allow dry sieving... Most river systems are only pools ATM down there...

True.....I guess some spots were in black soil areas and they will not be conducive to dry sieving and will have to be abandoned.
