Valuations

Hey everyone, lets talk valuations.
Theres the national council of jewellery valuers that you can find out gem and jewellery values.
All I know are gemstones so what other avenues can you go to for fossils, old treasures, furniture and anything else of age to get a valuation and certification?

I did but theres minimal information on where to go for evaluations and whats there doesnt cover everything. Thought it would be a interesting topic for a discussion

most jewelers will send off for valuation for a fee. thats the only avenue i was aware of, please share of info you may have duke. :Y:

For grading/certification of more expensive ones (~$500>) probably best to find a coin valuer that certifies to PCGS or NGC although "raw" uncertified coins aren't uncommon in Australia.

To verify gem certification use online verification but confirm website is correct. There has been cases of false websites set up to sell fake certified gems.
