but I wouldn't buy the inflatable awning. I camp in the bush at times & I can just see it getting punctured

Inflatables are the future. Set up in minutes, deflate in minutes, No poles etc.

Darche have started introducing air swags and tents.

Hybrid's are definitely on the rise, sold my Jayco Swan Outback because I was sick & tired of setting up & packing up in the rain having to air & dry when home after a trip, Got a 4 berth StarCraft with all the bells & whistles but towing a 3 Ton Van comes at a price, am now looking into the Hybrids smaller lightweight and more practical for quick getaways without the hassle but finding a compromise between myself & the other half is a different story :argh:

We've gone for a Complete Campsite Exodus 16, found one that was only a year old and snapped it up quick as they don't hang around on the second hand market for long. The rig is only a little over 2 tonne fully loaded and stocked, plus follows in the vehicle tracks as it's only around 2m wide.

An awesome pop-top designed for true off road and very quick to setup, even when stopping for lunch on the road, a couple of minutes and we were under cover and the kitchen set up.
