Newbie Southwest Vic

Hi I'm new on here. was told to sign up here to help my son's find places near us or around us that we maybe able to find gemstones and/or fossils. I'm from southwest Vic. can anyone help me out a little with areas to look into can go anywhere in Vic or near my gambier.

It's best to contact local gem clubs, because they know the places to go, and have field days where new members can learn and profit from the other members' experience. It's difficult just to set off on your own if you don't know where fossicking is permitted.

Go with the people who know all about it and you'll have much better luck, and not break any laws...
Make sure you have a Miner's Right to start.
