This was one of the finds I didnt expect . Anyone know more?

Definitely a gaming token - George III was not born in 1701. I have three of these (also a Bavarian brothel token). Gold coins nearly identical to this were coined during George III's time - but if it aint gold it aint real 8.(

I am chuckling to myself a bit - it is certainly a good talking point and thus a good find. However the reason I have some is that they were reprinted in the late 20th century and distributed stuck to Weeties packets (I kid you not, I prised one off the cardboard myself).

I've checked mine (from the Weeties packets) and they are all dated in the 1790s - so yours is more likely to be an older gaming token
