Can you fossick on your own land if a EMP has been submitted but not approved yet?

Depends on your definition of fossick? A detector, pick, shovel etc yes, but not with heavy equipment i would assume?

An emp is an environmental management plan isn't it? If so then unless something in it specifically stops you from fossicking then it shouldn't change anything, if it hasn't been approved yet then it should be pretty meaningless either way.
If your talking about an exploration lease then that doesn't prevent fossicking, it just gives a company rights to explore those areas, though it will cause problems if you want to make a claim as you wouldn't be able to without their approval.
May need to check your state laws though as in Queensland an exploration lease doesn't mean anything to a fossicker, but l think you may need government approval or notification in western Australia to access the land(not an issue if you already own it).
