hey everybody i have an old gp3000 as a spare detector and lately after about 10 minutes of detecting it starts macking an alarm sound very uniform have changed coils makes no differance and its not interferance any suggestions or someone i can send it to

ill change batterys but the one i had in should have had plenty ill give it ago thanks for the info

Sounds like the battery . I know the GPX 4000 makes an alarm sound when the battery goes flat.
 
Get your battery load tested, that will tell you if it is any good, you can get those batteries new for about $50 and just change the dome top over
