I have retired the Ace 300 for a little while, not indefinitely but for now I am having fun with the Nox 800.

Had the Nox for a few weeks now so I thought time to start its very own thread.
Been finding plenty of spendables and BB's but the last 2 hunts have been a little better so here are those finds.

Had a chance to get out in Adelaide this week while i was there visiting, found a coupple of roo penny's and a half penny, plus managed to pick up 2 United states 1 cent coins a coupple of metres apart. The ring is just a junk one

Last hunt was at pirie on an overnight stop, tried a new spot which seems to be paying off and will definitely be re visiting next time i a there.
First target turned out to be the sixpence, what a start to the day. Ended up with a good mixed haul, coupple of thrips, three roo pennys two of which were in really good condition, 2 half pennys, George V coronation medal, 1925 dog rego tag (my first) nice military button (my first) and the chinese coin?
Not sure if the chinese is genuine or just off a charm, if anyone knows much about them please let me know.
The anchor is not gold but just interesting

This is some of the other interesting relics i kept from the new spot in Pirie. Plenty more ground there for me to cover!!

Yeah mate, been a while since i got out for a swing to put up any posts hahaha.
Going back after this block at work to my spot in Pirie so fingers crossed i have more to show in a coupple of weeks :Y:

Ahh squirrels, the small one is just a washer, probably didnt need to keep that one and the larger one with a pattern i am unsure.
The back is just smooth, looks like a peice of something larger.

i would research the phone number on the dog tag, history right there

Cheers mate, theres actually an address on the other side too.
I showed the dog tag to my mum (who is from Pirie) and she went to school with the son of the dog tags owner.
The dog and the owner are long gone but she is going to hang onto it and give it to the son when she sees him next :Y:

Spent time cleaning some of the recent finds today.

Probably not the best method but used CAB on them all for various durations and then a rub with backing soda and water.

Here are the results, pretty happy.

My first dog tag.
