Could areas of bigger gum trees indicate richer gold sources?

The best gold deposit I found was at the end of a straight line of large trees. I think it just indicated the ground on that line was eroded, decomposed or fractured more than the surrounding shallow ground allowing them to get there roots down deeper and grow better.

Even if the claim is bogus I love how a mining company managed to convince government money to investigate further resource territory and gold deposits *taps head with finger*. Good move Classic.
