I wasn't sure what was going on with it so I sent it off to Roy from Garrett in Queensland,it was out of warranty by 5 months so I was 8.(
He checked it out and found no problem,maybe it was my batteries but I did change them twice.
Roy posted it back to me for free with a tracking number and sign on delivery with it arriving home this morning,he also included a free 9v battery
