What is the little medalian? is that a silver also?

Back to the oval in the hills again for a few hours. Gridding a new section. Pennies and 10 silvers, best one being 1891 three pence.

That's impressive.

Now that's a haul, wish every hunt was as productive as that, well done.

Mate I drove over an hour to hit the beach the other day for 5 cents and 3 sinkers gotta brush up on my sand skills.

This oval is just "one of those lucky spots". I have a quite week so I'm really hammering it.

Haha no I have found three at this oval in my first two hunts but none the last two. Still have about 40% of the oval to check properly and then go over and dig those iffey and lower IDs/tones on the CTX as I did find a few silvers and double coin holes that way last hunt. The soil is mineralised and different all over. Its taken a few hunts there to get the fell for it.

Big festival there this weekend too so hopefully some goldies.

Back to the goldies rush today, drove about 30 mins to a new area. Slow start at first few venues but the last one had all the goodies you could wish for! Spendables, silvers, pennies, overseas coins, rings, chains, badges....

$120 in spendables. 1968xt on the 705 found that chunky chain with a nice silver hallmark, two of the rings had hall marks and cleaned up well. The rest were junkers.

Penny was an 1876, thought I had a double florin spill until I saw it was just the dirt impression. A rams and six pence also.
