if i ever pull my finger out and buy a gold detector and actually find a nugget i will call the first one the "dougit" after my dear old departed uncle Doug.

I call each of mine "Eureka", although kids have named some: "Holy Shite". PS. At 198 nuggets, I still haven't cracked the 10g mark, but they're still damn exciting!
Everyone has heard of the Hand of Faith, the biggest nugget found with a detector I think. Well I called this one the " Mitten of Hope" because of its shape. It was my first piece, I still have it and do not think I will ever part with this one. It only weighed 0.118 grams but being the first one makes it special.
I haven't cracked the gram mark yet but I have a small display case featuring my top ten but none of these have names. I think that it would need to be a big one or an unusual shape to warrant giving it a name.

Thanks Davent. Lucky enough to pick it up from koroit out the back of Cunnamulla. Hit the nut with a hammer and it was full of colour . Had it cut and polished by one of the fellas out that way and it turned out to be a full faced boulder specie.
