Hey from West Lake Macquarie

Just wanted to introduce myself

I'm looking to do some exploring of abandoned mines and other heavy industrial sites. Not sure if I am in the right place (Moderator please remove or correct if necessary).

Trying to find like minded people or some guidance to sites.

Not into collecting artefacts or gold. Just photos and have a look around.

I'm from a underground coal and heavy industrial background but definitely have a lot to learn about moving around sites.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

How's the victoria trip going?

Went well WonderOn
Arrived home a few days ago to help my son and daughter prepare for a copmetition in Qld over this weekend.
Drove them to training and helped them with their diet to make weight.. spent Thursday at John Hunter with the wife seeing her specialist, nothing serious just follow up appointment. Thursday we drove over night up to the Gold Coast and spent yesterday i spent the day sleepind and recovering from the drive. Today is going to be interesting my daughter is on target to make hew weight but my son who has not entered any competition since 2015 still needs to loose 2 kg to make his division.. its not going to be easy but i hope with the humidity up here and the right exercise he will be on target by 5pm when he has to do the official weigh in.
Tomorrow all going well , they will compete.

That's impressive about your kids competing. Hope it goes well for them both.

Glad you're wife's well. I've become too familiar with the John Hunter fracture clinic lately. Learnt the hard way i can't fly.

We will be be leaving the Gold Coast today after the two attend a training camp then Thursday we have to drive down to Melbourne for another competition on the weekend and a two day training camp afterwards.
Daughter won a gold in senior women and the son took bronze in senior men.
