Squirrels Equinox Finds

Welcome to my new thread. i hope to fill this with lots of delicious pics and stories of my hunts with the Equinox 800. Below are the results after a very hard, frustrating and enlightening day. Enjoy

All good targets came in approx one and a half hours, after a full day of not ground balancing as recommended in the manual and quick start guide The targets were all very deep, the pinpointer did not register any of them until i had dug down several inches I had searched this area previously with the 505 and the targets were obviously too small and deep for it to pick them up. + 1 for the Equinox. :Y:

So the water hole finds were limited and the dollar coin was very shallow/surface.



The play area produced nothing to show So i'll put in a pick of another purchase i made yesterday. $80 second hand from this forum, thanks peter. :Y:



You MUST always ground balance contrary to what the manual might suggest :8

Urge to buy Equinox....Rising!

Definitely a great start on the Equinox, should be a real good all-rounder and a lot of fun. :Y:

Thanks Heatho,Rockhound,GDA,Ktmman and Goldpick. It was a great start with the EQ, looks like it's fast becoming a thrippy killer as i went back for 2 hrs last night just to try a couple of things.

Good pick up on the aluminium case.

I will go over all sites wishfull :Y: they are never done anyway as variables continuously change I'm happy with the case, looks like they are $250-$275 on ebay and in store new I have to stop spending now, i've spent nearly 3k on gear in the last month ha ha 8.(

Here ya go Silver, not entirely happy, i think i rushed them so they might get a tiny bit more work done on them yet :|





I stated once before that 70% of the BBs i find here are 1966, well here's a 100% this hunt.


Now heres an image to show what happens to coppers if they are not treated with Dermeze.

they look good SS - remember the target ID's on those items - to help other active members mate.
