I'm from Central Victoria and have a always had a fascination with rocks.

The property where I currently live is full of slate and I've noticed quite a bit of quartz within the slate so I've decided to take the plunge and try to find the gold that will pay off the mortgage

1. Are there any mines in the general area or on the property?
2. Are the slate/quartz areas away from sources on EMI such as power lines, works or housing?
3. Have you checked GeoVic for signs of mineralisation or workings around/on the property?

I haven't found any mines on my property

The slate/quartz is away from the house and sheds and I located in an unused area of the land
