Well hit up the usual spot that ive been getting all the good finds, the grass and weeds are right up now making it really hard to get the coil to the ground so we are going to give it a break for a little while. We found another good spot we have been given permission from the shie to detect and wow some great finds yesterday! Another Gothic florin dated 1885!!!

Cheers mate, really didn't expect to find another Gothic florin. I recon there is more to be find there! Back again this weekend

The odds of finding a second gothic florin would have be slim, but there you go, never say never - well done. This one looks to be in good condition too, what was the obverse like? erfect:

Well the rings still a work in progress, took it to the jeweler and he said he cant polish and clean because the opal will shatter so i contacted a really great bloke in QLD and bought a nice opal for the ring. The sizing was a bit different to others so i sent him the ring and he cut a stone . We chose a nice one and no doubt worth more than the ring but my wife loved the ring so happy wife, happy life . In the picture its only just sitting in the space of where old opal was but needs to be fitted and polished. It will look magic when finished
