Got myself a 30" Bazooka Prospector and the family wanted a few days away in Beechworth. Well a short detour to Reedy Ck was definitely in order. After test panning a few spots along the creek we settled on a spot and set the sluice up for a test run. Its good when you look down on the deck of the sluice and you can see the specks sitting there as the gravel and sand clears away. This was after 2 hours as we had other commitments. Can't wait to give it a really good run. Looks like a day trip to Adelong is in order.

Good result for a quick hit...

When you get to Adelong, and parked at the Bakery for 'smoko'...remember to get the kids to clean up the street gutters with brush & pans... ;) :D

Old reports reveal after heavy rains of gold being found in the gutters of town (in front of the pub or barber-don't recall which) and pieces weighing up to a few grams.
