You are killing it Capa. :Y: :rainbow:

Cartridge cases look like a 45 ACP and a 303, a little unusual in a park if you ask me, recently developed area with a long history of activity?

Mmmmm not sure how they got there. But I now understand that soil raised around parks are new added soil and low part of park is old one. And If digger does not go in easily or soil is containing rock or concrete, then soil must came from somewhere and I will not dig those area. Are those bullet casing old ones?

Yep your technique is 100% legit. I should use sheeting as well. I put soil on top so It looks like something had happened but after 10 min it disappear when soil dries up. But after a week, I really cannot tell where I dug up and parks looks healthy to my eyes.

Both cartridges have been around for 100 years but they are most likely from just after WW2.

Thanks all! :Y: :Y: :Y: Once again weather in Melbourne is bad so I don`t think I could go hunting :N: :N: :N: I hate dig in wet soil and there are many many mosquitoes! :N: :N:

I bought very old detector from U.K. For some reason, I like analogue simple to use detector. So I bought this one. It is C.Scope CS4ZX. It is about 20 years old but I am finding many things with it. Only problem is that I cannot tell how deep the targets are. Otherwise I like this one. :D :D :D
I went to my favorite park again and found comm pennies.
