Cheers Dave...the pinpointer does make a big difference....I dont think i would go for a swing without one now.

Very nice finds Smokey....I love the 505 I just need to do one more significant test with it which is taking its time.

Na not water proof Danny....Just got the cheeper one.. $130.....Just got it for use in the park's ect....will upgrade in a year or so.....The older ones had a plastic slide switch..which was no good... But this one has a rubber button...Cant fault it yet.. Love the coin spills....pulled all the goldies out first...then the 10c pieces just kept coming..Shame they weren't all gold and Silvers.

Found out today our house was built in the early 50s....Always thought it was newer than that..went for a swing around the house..couldn't belive how much junk was under ground....so set to full discrimination and searched for some old coins....nothing but scratchy tones....was about to call it quits...i was walking to the paddock gate and got a good signal... New it was a coin...but not quite sure...as ive never found a penny..but could just make out the one on the coin my first ever penny..keen as i spent another 1/2hr gridding the area.lol and found another one Im chuffed In with the vinigar and salt..There not much good ...but i finally got 2 pennys...will show them cleaned up later

Cheers guys...i was thinking the same thing...those pennys are toast..Ones a 1924 ...cant read the other one yet as there is not much left on it....Will be searching every afternoon now for those Silvers...

Persistence paid off in the end, and as a result, rewarded with the penny. I'd be targetting around the base of any large old trees, and grid up the remaining areas.
