Got out with Rocket yesterday, our first hunt together in quite a while. It's obvious from the results that he chose the locations. Hahaha.
Only one pre decimal which is probably a half penny. It was a nice clear signal reading at 21 to 22 cm on the CTX and Rocket swung his Deus over it and said it was a readable signal but very faint. I found it just over the length of the Pin pointer which is 23 cm. Not bad at all.

Nice hunt result there mate, Rocket might have to crank up the volume/sensitivity on old faithful Deus to keep up with you and the 3030, would'nt be nice to see him left in your dust.LOL

Got out with Rocket for a couple of hours today, he with the Deus and myself on the CTX. Neither of us had found cricket buckles before today but Rocket's first target was a nice buckle and I found 2 partial buckles. On the left buckle yu can see a cricket pad on the right side but I cannot make out any detail on the other buckle.
Rocket had the Deus singing with 2 x thrips and 2 x sixpence in his haul. I managed 2 x rams head shillings as my silver finds. A hot but satisfying outing.

Must be a good location for more old/older finds still to be had ....
when the conditions are more favourable of course

It is an old site and really interesting as within 40 or 50 metres we could go from ground as hard as concrete to places we could sing the shovel in to it's full depth. An old reliable site but most finds came from an area we haven't hit much.

Got out with Rocket a couple of days ago. He had a great hunt with 8 small silvers in his haul. I dug up the crustiest Florin I have ever seen.

Wow that Florin is......well ummmm.....no words mate... lol Can always melt it down. Nice finds....

Put in about 90 minutes after my last arvo shift. Nice and cool. I tried a new c=section of the spot Rocket and I have been working on. Not much to show for it.....

Weather is much better for detecting now, what a difference a week can make.
