I was thinking something like King Shot (ha). ]:D
and hope realised ,.... cause I enjoyed your photos. :D
I was looking back through time and place, feeling the life and losses found once again ,... it's good knowing it's all from one spot, cause you can see little things like they had two cutlery sets over time, and that a lot of shot was fired from there whilst only receiving a small amount back.lol, and that someone was big n strong n pulled too hard on the strap while tying off the load on the dray and snapped the tiedown ring.
I always enjoy your photo shoots Gp, every time !
:Y: :p :Y:

I agree , always good photos :Y:
Its not always as easy as it sounds , but research definitely pays off ..... eventually
Finding/locating potential sites can be an ordeal in itself (and thats only part of the puzzle) a lot of time and effort can go into it only to be foiled when not granted permission :(
I suppose its much like showing off our finds ,we dont usually show the undesirable finds we've dug
We only see/hear about the sites that have come to fruition ....
...Not all the effort that goes on behind the scenes

Just as well the ground is sandy with all of that digging or you would be shattered 8)

From the evidence it was a well established dwelling with plenty of "modern" stuff, but it makes me wonder how it ends like that with of the things that make a life just dumped in the dirt.

Maybe people just lock the door and walk away allowing the home to fall apart over time, sad in a way :(

I love how those pennies have that sweet patina on them from laying in that mild ground {)

Real cool finds,a real view back in time :Y:

Totally forgot about two other finds from yesterday sitting on the dash of my car (worried about damaging them in my finds bag). One is some sort of latch, the other is a lovely enameled buckle. :8

No idea, it screwed onto something at one stage - just made of brass unfortunately. :)

On another note, I've been meaning to get another telescopic shaft setup for the Deus for while now, mainly so I can get the missus to learn how to use it. Ended receiving a new one today from Clegy, so now I effectively have two XP Deus's, one to use with the WS4 controller, and the other with the remote. ;)

Does that mean they can both be used simultaneously ?
How bout in close proximity to each other?

They can be used as two completely different detectors, as the coils are effectively the actual detector, say one Deus with the 11" coil and four frequencies, plus another Deus with the 9" HF coil and three different frequencies. The headphones and remote are simply controllers and interfaces for each of the coils, so you should be able to run side by side - each person just has to select the coil they want to use from the on-screen menu (each coil has a unique serial number).

If I purchased another set of headphones or remote and another telescopic shaft, then I would end up with three Deus detectors, as I have three coils at my disposal.

When you look at the Deus in this perspective, the high inital outlay doesn't seem half bad. :)

mmmmm interesting concept! So I guess It is worth to buy Deus full kit and buy + extra coil = two deus stand alone machine!

Second day at the "new" old house site, as expected there were no more coins to be found considering it had been hit previously, though plenty of relics to keep the Deus on its toes.

Came across quite a few button in my travels today, with a couple of gold toned buttons providing some heart starting moments. The two large buttons are "Towers Wire Fastended" examples from a US made oiled raincoat, also found one of those at a nearby site as well.

Might head off to try and locate another few sites on the weekend, hopefully with some more coins ans doggy tags to be found. :)

Thanks RJ, tell you the truth I am pretty stuffed from today's effort. My legs said it was time to go home after digging probably the 100th shotgun shell over the last two trips. Also not the easiest site to detect and keep track of where you have already been.
