Was happy to get a silver for the short dig....will be visiting again once the weather clears up a bit... :Y:

Well I managed to get out for a quick hour dig this afternoon which was a race because I was losing light fast....
Kiara and I hit a section of creek track where I found the Pocket Watch Pieces and also The Medallion not far from the train station.
First target a crisp 40 Tid and I am thinking Silver but not to be and a 1c coin showed it's coppery face... lol
Next target a crisp 44 Tid and I am thinking Silver and I wasn't disappointed, a dirty coin came out of the hole and at first I thought
it was going to be a penny but it turned into a Florin a nice find and I could have left then with it and been happy but Kiara and I persevered
a bit longer and hit on another 44 signal and I am thinking could it be?
Well I got the coin out of the hole and saw it was a penny....we were happy with that and decided to head back to the car but not before
finding a nice badge.
Happy with the silver, copper and badge.





It's soaking in Salt and Vinegar and while writing this I see a 1947....





Can't wait to get back out there to that section and go over it to get a lot of targets I left behind....Would love to get onto the footy field which is now a construction site while they get the new railroad tracks done and the sky rail put up....Will get a photo for you the next time I am down there.

Good to see a Florin came out for you, though I don't know how you can walk away from what I'm assuming are good signals.
It would drive me nuts not knowing what it was, and I'd have to go back to find out

Really rushed as the light was fading fast so I was Cherry Picking 40-44 Tid and then as I got closer to leaving I was digging a few
30-36 Tid..... I believe I am the only one that detects the track other than a young bloke I know who has had a go but not found much.

I want a full days dig in a few spots.... :Y: :Y:

As far as I know it's only seen my detector some time ago when I found the gold plated medal and the fob watch pieces...



This section has been cleared a bit and I will revisit again soon. :Y:

Don't think it is old and may have had a piece attached to a chain on the bottom like the one pictured...

So I got out for a dig to the creek track today and went off the beaten track.
I headed around the bushy areas and also made my way through the scrub towards the water.
Very happy to find more coins and over the weekend I am thinking of doing it again, hitting some clearings closer to the water
which are quite hard to get to because of how dense the bush is.

















School holidays for the kiddies mean I can get out for a few more digs weather permitting.
Have a friend in the city that has permission to do all inner city parks and hoping to get a dig in with him over the next 2 weeks.
