So Kiara had a day off School on Monday and we decided to hit the beach to see what was in the cuts....a few coins kept us happy.



Today was nice and fine and wifey decided to have a day off work as she hasn't been sleeping too well...
Anyway she said I should go out for a dig because we don't know how long the weather is going to stay fine.
She also said if we can't do what we love to do then what's the point in living....Fair enough.....So I hit the creek track...
Amazing that it is still giving up the goods....

GDA! Is the ring top left around 4-5" in diameter, it looks like part of an old swing set, two chains down to two rings with a bar between them, bit like a poor mans Roman rings gymnasts use.

Surprising finds considering the amount of times I've been over all of the sections of track, a lot of clearing happened and also
they added railing which meant digging parts of the track bringing more goodies to the surface. :Y:

Here is the Silver ring cleaned up a bit and a closer look at the gemstones in it...I'm thinking Topaz...



So today I got to the Creek track and hit on a good $5 coin spill, a few brownies kept me interested.
I never had much time because I had to get home so an hour and a half saw me skipping over quite a few targets and only cherry picking..
Anyway a I was heading back to the car I decided to go into the trees and glad I did...A nice crisp 36 solid tone meant something other than
an aluminium can ....turns out it was a Rams Head...Woop Silver for the day







Nice and clean just how I like em...





I really need to do a lot of hours slowly going over a few spots....

That was my second guess but I didn't want to say that because I've never known sapphires to be in Silver.... :Y:

They will very often put smaller stones in silver mate, but yeah once they start getting bigger and more valuable they will mostly go in gold or platinum.

Small sapphires are relatively inexpensive but once they start getting up to and over 1ct the price goes up rapidly for quality stones.

Thanks mate was a nice surprise considering once I got it out of the hole I couldn't find it....
I was on a banking and it rolled down a fair way...lol :Y:

classic, lost ring found then errr ummm lost again, lol, lucky you have a metal detector.
