About 6 weeks since my last hunt, and I pushed myself to do 2hrs this arvo. For the first 30mins I felt like a beginner again, but got it all working eventually. The brit penny has the date under Vickys head, so it could be my oldest coin, pre 1860. Its hard to read, maybe 1847? The roo penny may have been shot with a .22, but who knows. Nice to get a silver as well, and a satisfying hunt :)

G'Day Rocket,
What a great haul to start the new year off, wondered where you were hiding over the past month or so, great going.
Cheers, SinHof.

Great way to start your 2017 account Rocket, hopefully you will inspre me to get off my backside and get back into the finds again. ;)

Got a few hours hunting in today, with old Ramjet :) Been months since we last hunted, and I chose the sites.........which had bugger all in them.
I did surface find a 1980s technics direct drive turntable though :) It works fine, people dont realize the value of stuff, that they put out for waste collection. Its an upgrade turntable for me, or I could sell it for 100 or a bit more.

find of the month RKT! I remember my dad playing vinyls way back then, like Roy Robinson, buddy holly and the likes . Those original vinyls can be worth a bit these days.

Same here, the weather and ground conditions have been crap lately, not to mention knee high grass. At least you are off and running for the year, best of luck to you Rocket. :)
